How to Apply
Begin with a clean, dry, and level surface. Any cracks or damages should be repaired. The surface must be free of dust, grease, or any contaminants that might affect adhesion.
Apply a suitable epoxy primer to enhance the adhesion of the FLAKE system.
Once the primer is set, apply the base coat. The color of the base coat can influence the overall appearance of the FLAKE system.
While the base coat is still wet, broadcast the FLAKE into the resin at the desired density. Ensure even distribution for a uniform appearance.
Allow sufficient time for the base coat to cure, typically overnight.
Once cured, remove any loose or excess FLAKE to achieve a smooth, even surface.
Apply a clear topcoat to seal and protect the FLAKE surface. This not only enhances durability but also provides a glossy or matte finish, based on preference.
Allow the final coat to cure properly, which may take several hours to a day, depending on environmental conditions.
After curing, inspect the surface for any imperfections or missed spots and perform touch-ups as necessary. Custom blend and color matching options are available for a unique and personalized finish, with no minimum order requirement. This detailed process ensures a high-quality, durable, and aesthetically pleasing surface that lasts.
